Facility
Located in Elkhart, Indiana, approximately 100 miles from Chicago, the 23,000 square foot Stanbio Life Sciences production and operations center houses the divisional offices and manufacturing and processing plant. Our existing 7,500 sq. ft. upstream bio-processing area contains 3 primary fermentation suites (capable of aerobic and anaerobic fermentations), a microfiltration skid, an isolated class 100 clean room and 2 walk-in 4oC cold rooms for downstream processing, production utilities, plant steam generator, compressor, RO water system, and related fermentation support equipment.
Phase 1 of our facility expansion concluded in 2008 and four separate production suites were completed (three fermentation, one purification). Retrofit of existing manufacturing areas was also completed in 2008, resulting in improvements in manufacturing process flow. Additional expansion of the facility will include added fermentation capacity, additional purifications suites, and additional processing equipment.
